Here we are in Seattle, all set to kick off the West Coast Hybrid Evolution
tour. Since we got into town, we've been drinking great coffee and enjoying
weather that is pretty much perfect. It'v only 10:45 am, the sun is shining,
there's a great breeze off the water, and we've already had eight cups of coffee
between the three of us. I love this city.
We
set up shop at Pike Place Market, which is a great open air market in downtown
Seattle. There were a ton of people walking by who stopped to check out the
hybrids and listen to the great speakers that we had lined up to talk about
clean cars and clean energy. We piled people into the four hybrids we had on
hand and took them for a spin around downtown Seattle to show off the vehicles.
The hybrid's regenerative brakes were perfect for Seattle's steep hills. After
a hard day's work we hooked up with some local Sierra Club members for a great
Bastille Day party. We had great food, great wine, and great conversations.
After toasting the French Revolution, we gave an even bigger toast to the Hybrid
Evolution. Next stop: Tacoma.
