After spending the previous day in San Francisco, we took the Evolution out
of the city and headed over to the East Bay. On our way to Antioch, we
passed a huge wind farm off to our right with what looked like over one hundred
turbines spinning in the wind to create electricity. It was an incredible moment
to be able to envision a clean energy future. Here we were in our hybrid, passing
a wind farm. It was amazing. Unfortunately, we turned a corner and our new
vista was a power plant and an oil refinery, so I guess we got the good and
the ugly. Once we arrived in Antioch, we pulled into the local public library
where we met up with local Sierra Club volunteers and showed off the car to
people passing by. It was a great day.
