As we pulled up to the bathhouse at Fort Macon State Park an eager photographer and a group of energetic volunteers rushed to greet us. With nine volunteers clad in ¡§I Will Evolve¡¨ t-shirts we hit the board walk. The fierce winds and often exhausted beach goers were no match for our fearless petitioners. With pens and postcards flying the volunteers captured an impressive 47 signed postcards (many of which bear water stains from the dripping hands of supportive surfers). After a quick interview and a test drive we were off to catch the ferry to Cape Hatteras where dolphins leaped in anticipation of our arrival.
