Timing is key. We pulled into Annapolis ten minutes late to find anxious
press waiting for our arrival. The experience gave us a quick glimpse of what
it must be like to be famous, with microphones shoved in our faces and questions
as we opened the doors. After a few quick Q&As, a representative of the County Executive, Janet Owens, presented us with a citation
(the good kind) recognizing the Sierra Club’s outstanding dedication to the
environment.
The event was very successful! We had a great team of volunteers. After our many interviews (thanks to Laurel Imlay who did a jam up job with press releases and pitch calls), we headed to the Marsh family home for a potluck. After all the meals on the road it was fabulous to eat home cooked food (and listen to political rantings.)
